No more sadness, no more sorrow! Ladies and gentleman, it's about
time for "One Hour Hero"! The HEARTBRAK ENGINES
are here again, once more, back and never gone! After two acclaimed long
players the time is due for another high profile output of Germany's
number one in authentic Punk Rock`n`Roll. Being welded together by spending
countless days on the road destroying stages all over Europe, the band outstands
solid as a rock in the sea of today's quick moving society.
Staring up in late 2002 by clashing some ideas in a dirty old rehearsal
room, quickly first songs shaped up, a band name was found and stages
entered. No surprise that half a year later their savage debut
&"Good Drinks, Good Butts, Good Fellows" (2003) surfaced via People
Like You Records, the label the band is still in love with. The first
pressing sold out in a rush and the bands reputation quickly raised
from the insider underground hottie to a decent act. Gaining a lot of
experience, song writing and musical skills within the following 2
years, it was in 2005 when the acclaimed "Love Murder Blues" striked
and marked the bands next level. This album enabled the HEARTBREAK
ENGINES to hop on a couple of tours and festivals, also the Bad Boys
For Life festival tour was now up on their live schedule. Conquering
loads of new hearts on a headline run and supporting genre leaders,
made the band to take another two years to face the studio again. So,
now their about to kick the emptiness out of your ears! Our favourite
rockers are set to break your heart once more by giving birth to their
newest effort "One Hour Hero" on September 17th, 2007. A mature
production and premium song writing, a never heard before catchiness
alongside with the savageness of their debut is captured in the new
songs. Stompers like "Black Gold Rebel" and hymns like "Bad Job Jesus"
alongside with straight forward smackers like the title track or
"Mountain Of Madness" display the diversity of "One Hour Hero" and The
HEARTBREAK ENGINES unique style. Having H.B.E. founding member and
slap-bass devil Grischa also being a fix member of the world famous and
sickest R`n`R outfit Demented Are Go, nicely links to the fact to have
D.A.G. singer and Enfant terrible Sparky contributing his very unique
vocals (rumours telling for the first time ever apart from
D.A.G.) on the awesome closing track "Gunwitch".
